It produces electrical energy from a reversible chemical
reaction. A lead acid battery cell consists of two lead plates, positive plate covered with
a paste of lead dioxide and negative

Figure below shows six 2 volt lead acid cells are connected to form a typical 12 volt lead acid battery.
