Isolate power supply from feeder breaker for the equipment you are going to
carry out maintenance.
2- Remove
the supply fuses or put dummy fuses.

Put on ‘Pea Card’ on feeder braker ‘Men on Work’ to ensure that no one should
switch on the

Inform your superior & the operator of equipment before attempting any
maintenance.
5-
Put a insulated mat.
6-
Use insulated tools only.
7-
Use insulated gloves, which have good dielectric strength.
8-
Discharge energing storing devices such as capacitor before attempting any
maintenance work.
9-
Study the diagram/operation/maintenance/manual & plan your job accordingly.
10-
Don’t unnecessarily open the equipment if you are doubtful or not aware.
11-
Note down all the connections removed.
12-
After carrying out maintenance,physically check the complete circuit before
restoring the supply.
13-
Observe carefully all the parameters i.e. current,voltage etc after
maintenance.
14-
Make a record of maintenance carried out by you & parts used in
maintenance.
