International Oil Pollution Prevention Certificate (IOPP) And Its Content

 > It states that the ship equipment, system, fittings, machinery, etc. coming under MARPOL Annex 1 is compliant with the regulation.

> Validity of the certificate is 5 years.

> Validity of the certificate can be extended maximum upto 3 months so that ship can complete the current voyage and come to a port where the survey can be done for renewing the certificate.

> Name of ship > Distinctive number or letters > Port of registry > Gross tonnage > Deadweight of the ship > IMO Number
> Type of ship
> Equipment for the control of oil discharge from machinery space bilges and oil fuel tanks
> All oil residue (sludge) tanks, identification, location and volume
> Bilge water tank identification, location volume
> Standard discharge connection
> Segregated ballast tanks details
> Dedicated clean ballast tanks details
> Oil discharge monitoring and control system details
> Pumping, piping and discharge arrangements details
> Shipboard oil/marine pollution emergency plan details
